Privacy Policy for Encore

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Encore is a remote control for Bose SoundTouch speakers on your own network. It has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. Your speakers, stations, presets, queues and settings are stored only on your device and on your own network, and nothing you play is recorded anywhere.

What stays on your device

What leaves your network

What we do not collect

We collect nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no advertising identifier in this app, and it contains no third-party tracking or advertising libraries of any kind. No usage data, device identifier, file name, search term, song title or network address is ever sent to us, because there is no server of ours for it to be sent to.

Permissions, and why

Data retention and deletion

Everything the app remembers is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes it. We hold nothing about you on any server, so there is nothing for you to request or for us to delete.

Children

Encore is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL, with the date at the top updated.
